Bromyard Downs is situated above the market town of Bromyard, in the north west of Herefordshire and is easily accessible from the larger towns of Worcester and Hereford along the A44.
The majority of the Downs are registered common land and open access. A minor road cuts through the common and there are two car parks, one situated next to the Royal Oak pub, and the other beside the Brockhampton Academy. Various pull in lay-bys offer parking spots along the minor road- great spots to stop and enjoy the magnificent views.
The Downs offer something to walkers, nature lovers, families and joggers alike, with each season bringing a different atmosphere. Its attraction lies in its diversity of habitats - from autumn colours in Warren wood, a thrilling dawn chorus from the scrubby areas in spring to the stunning orchid displays in the summer – there really is something for everyone.
